Basketball Game Preview: Lanesboro Burros vs. Lyle/Pacelli Athletics

Lanesboro is 10-0 against Lyle/Pacelli since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Lanesboro Burros will host the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics at 7:15 p.m. After both made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Lanesboro will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Wabasha-Kellogg, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Lanesboro blew past Wabasha-Kellogg 55-34 on Saturday. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-13.

Meanwhile, Lyle/Pacelli came into Friday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Madelia, posting a 73-36 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Athletics have posted since December 7, 2024.

Lyle/Pacelli's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Lanesboro, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Lanesboro took their win against Lyle/Pacelli in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 56-32. Will Lanesboro repeat their success, or does Lyle/Pacelli have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
