Basketball Recap: King Jones' Big Game Can't Quite Lead KIPP Atlanta Collegiate over Westminster + How To Watch

After flying high against Jackson on Tuesday, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate came back down to earth. The matchup between the Warriors and the Westminster Wildcats didn't end well, with the Warriors falling 78-61. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was King Jones, who shot 47% from the field on his way to 18 points. Jones has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 47% every time he's hit the court this season. Galen Roberts was another key player, dropping a double-double with 17 points and ten boards.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's record now sits at 2-2. As for Westminster, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. The contest will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Westminster, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-59 win against Riverwood on the 24th.
