Softball Recap: Lincoln County Takes a Loss

Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Winfield Pirates.

Lincoln County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Lyon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 13-12-2. As for Winfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-5 record this season.

Lincoln County will face off against Ardmore at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Winfield, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-1 defeat against West Limestone on the 19th.
