Baseball Recap: Raymond Central Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Raymond Central unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 13-1 to the Lincoln Lutheran Warriors on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 6-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Raymond Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Den Hartog, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Lincoln Lutheran now has a winning record of 2-1.

Raymond Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 loss against Seward on the 25th. As for Lincoln Lutheran, they will face off against Falls City at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
