Volleyball Recap: Bethel Bison vs. Olympia Bears
Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Olympia Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bison of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-18, 25-12.
Macy Twaddle paced Bethel's offense, picking up four kills. Twaddle got some help from Julianna Sullivan and her seven assists. Finally, Timari Fruster kept Bethel's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.
Leading Olympia to victory were Elyse Juergens and River Sutch. Juergens had 12 digs and three aces, while Sutch had 11 digs and three aces. Those 12 digs gave Juergens a new career-high.
Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Olympia, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.
Bethel has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Graham-Kapowsin on the 6th. As for Olympia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Emerald Ridge on the 6th.
