Volleyball Recap: Bethel Takes a Loss

Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Olympia Bears. If the Bison were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bears when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-18, 25-12.

Olympia was led to victory by Elyse Juergens and River Sutch. Juergens had 12 digs and three aces, while Sutch had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Juergens has posted since back in November of 2024.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Olympia, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bethel is set to take on their familiar foe Graham-Kapowsin at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Olympia will face off against rival Emerald Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
