Football Recap: Mandeville Starts off Right with Win over Salmen + How To Watch

Mandeville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Salmen Spartans by a score of 38-25. That's more bragging rights for the Skippers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ben Hendricks had a dynamite game, rushing for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 111 yards and one TD. Mandeville also got help from Jake Jacketti, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

Despite the loss, Salmen still got an impressive performance from Jimmy Chanzy, who rushed for 130 yards and a pair of scores. Chanzy's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Mandeville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 30-21 defeat against Madison Prep Academy on the 12th. As for Salmen, they have also already played their next matchup, a 50-44 loss against East Ascension on the 12th.
