Baseball Recap: Tremont Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tremont entered their tilt with Olympia on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Spartans. The Turks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Brady Booth was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Booth was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, Andrew Dawson and Griffin Meeker did most of the damage at the plate: Dawson scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4, while Meeker scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Dawson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blaine Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tremont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.

Tremont's record is now 8-1. As for Olympia, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
