Baseball Recap: East Marion Comes Up Short

East Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to the Sacred Heart Crusaders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 last Tuesday.

East Marion's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Sacred Heart, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Marion will head out to take on Salem at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sacred Heart, they will venture away from home to face off against North Forrest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Crusaders surely won't give up without a fight.
