Soccer Recap: Lawrence Free State Comes Up Short

Lawrence Free State lost against Shawnee Mission East back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Firebirds took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. Lawrence Free State have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lawrence Free State now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Shawnee Mission East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lawrence Free State is set to challenge their familiar foe Olathe West at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Shawnee Mission East will square off against rival Olathe South on Tuesday.
