Pierce extended their home winning streak to nine games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Josie Painter. The Bluejays were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Crofton Warriors on Thursday for which the team can thank Painter, who had 16 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Pierce was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-14.

Pierce's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Crofton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Pierce will challenge Cedar Catholic on Tuesday. The Bluejays are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Crofton, they have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ponca on the 20th.
