Volleyball Recap: Columbus Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Columbus Christian lost against Crothersville on September 13th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Crusaders fell 3-1 to the Tigers. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-18, 23-25, 25-12.

Katie Bond paced Columbus Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Bond got some help from Addison Smith and her nine assists. Bella Fredericksen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Crothersville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddie Smith out in front who had 18 digs and four aces. That's the most aces Smith has posted since September 4th. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylee Henry, who had 11 digs and four aces.

Columbus Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Crothersville, their victory ended an 11-match drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-12.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Columbus Christian and Tabernacle Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crothersville has already played their next contest (against Shawe Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
