Blackman is a perfect 10-0 against Siegel since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Blaze are taking a road trip to challenge the Stars at 7:00 p.m. Blackman's defense has only allowed 9.4 points per game this season, so Siegel's offense will have their work cut out for them.

If Blackman beats Siegel with 35 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Blaze beat Smyrna on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 35-7. The win continues a trend for the Blaze in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Siegel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 37-0 loss at the hands of Riverdale. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Warriors are ranked 21st).

Siegel's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Blackman, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.

Blackman beat Siegel 20-8 when the teams last played back in September of 2024. Will the Blaze repeat their success, or do the Stars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
