Coronado was the 42-6 winner over Maranatha Christian when they last played one another back in August of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Islanders took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Friday. The loss put an end to the Islanders' undefeated start to the season.

When it comes to explaining why Coronado lost, don't look at Chase Jenkins. Despite the final result, he rushed for 160 yards and two scores on only eight carries. Jenkins' longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
