It's playoff time, and Valley Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Northport Mustangs on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Valley Christian walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 27-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-15.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kate Beardslee, who had 19 digs, nine kills, and three aces. Beardslee has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kylie Colton, who had 22 digs and one assist.

Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Northport, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.

Valley Christian has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Almira-Coulee-Hartline on the 30th. As for Northport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Cusick on the 30th.
