Softball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

Brownsburg hit North Central with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

North Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaelee Jacobs, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was Jacobs' first of the season. Another was Harlow Heath, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-1. As for Brownsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Central will host Covenant Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Brownsburg, they will challenge Plainfield at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
