Baseball Recap: Wylie Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

While Wylie put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Rowlett. Wylie came out on top against Rowlett by a score of 5-0. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against the Eagles on Friday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Wylie's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Rowlett, they moved to 13-4-1 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wylie will take on rival Garland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rowlett is set to face off against their familiar foe Lakeview Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
