Softball Recap: Triad Cardinals vs. Fairlawn Jets

Triad can finally bid farewell to their ten-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Fairlawn Jets with a sharp 23-3 win. Triad's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Lilly Greene made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. Greene has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. Greene was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-4 with three RBI and a double.
