Baseball Game Preview: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Box Elder Bees

For the second straight game, Bountiful will face off against Box Elder. The RedHawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Bees at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bountiful has three straight wins, Box Elder has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Bountiful proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Box Elder, sneaking past 5-3.

For Box Elder's part, Bosten Steacie was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Kohler, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bountiful pushed their record up to 6-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Box Elder, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.
