Basketball Recap: Middlesex Bluejays vs. Shore Regional Blue Devils
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Middlesex had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 64-52 victory over the Shore Regional Blue Devils. For the Bluejays, this counts as revenge for the 44-36 win the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.
Loss or not, Shore Regional got some senior leadership from Reese Fiore and Kimi Sayson. Fiore went 7-for-17 en route to 20 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Sayson posted 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Sayson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Ava Coyle was another key player, putting up 11 points.
