Basketball Recap: Odessa Takes a Loss

Odessa lost against Wellpinit last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Odessa Tigers were outmatched by the Wellpinit Redskins and fell 91-59. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Redskins are ranked 103rd).

Odessa has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Wellpinit, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Odessa will venture away from home to challenge Wilson Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellpinit, they will head out to face off against Chesterton Academy of Notre Dame on Monday.
