Baseball Recap: Plant Has No Trouble Against Riverview

Plant won the last time they faced Riverview and things went their way on Saturday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Sharks with a sharp 12-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won 12 matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

ADLER BRUN looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, JORDON OLIVIA was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was BRODY VERMETTE, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Plant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Riverview only posted an OBP of .238.

Plant has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Riverview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Plant will take on Robinson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Riverview, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plant City at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Sharks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
