Basketball Recap: Mount Carmel's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Mount Carmel won the last time they faced Montoursville and things went their way on Monday too. The Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Montoursville Warriors. Given the RED TORNADOES's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Warriors are ranked 348th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mount Carmel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jude Lazicki led the charge by going 8 of 18 on his way to 19 points and six boards. Chase Balichik was another key player, going 5 for 9 to rack up 14 points and seven rebounds.

Mount Carmel was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
