Basketball Recap: Guilford Park Comes Up Short

Guilford Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 69-43 to the Oakland Mills Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Panther can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Scorpions are ranked 39th).

Guilford Park's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Oakland Mills, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.

Guilford Park will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Annapolis at 6:00 p.m. on February 24th. Oakland Mills has already played their next match (against Marriotts Ridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
