Basketball Recap: M.L. King Comes Up Short + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between M.L. King and Drew, and Drew kept the tradition alive. The Lions took a 64-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Drew on Tuesday. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 69-53 to Drew when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why M.L. King lost, don't look at Chisimdi Agbasi. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Agbasi continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jashaad Billings, who posted six points along with nine boards and four blocks.

Drew's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Fair, who had eight points in addition to 14 rebounds and six assists. Fair has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last four times he's played. Rexson Kenley was another key player, putting up 13 points along with five assists and four steals.

M.L. King now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Drew, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2.

M.L. King has already played their next contest, a 74-49 defeat against Mays on the 12th. As for Drew, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-53 loss against Creekside on the 12th.
