Basketball Recap: Adams Central Comes Up Short

Adams Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flying Jets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-45 two weeks ago.

Heritage's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taurean Brown led the charge by putting up 20 points and three steals. Brown's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Landon Lybarger was another key player, scoring 18 points.

Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Heritage, they moved to 8-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Adams Central has already played their next match, a 63-46 win against Tipton on the 1st. As for Heritage, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-33 victory against Eastside on the 1st.
