After a string of three wins, Cousino's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to the Grosse Pointe North Norsemen on the road by a 56-38 margin. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Norsemen are ranked 109th).

When it comes to explaining why Cousino lost, don't look at Nicholas Farr. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. Farr has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

Even though they lost, Cousino smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Cousino's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Grosse Pointe North, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cousino will face off against L'Anse Creuse at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Grosse Pointe North, they will venture away from home to challenge Utica Ford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
