Softball Recap: Teague Comes Up Short

Teague had taken Elkhart down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Teague Lions came up short against the Elkhart Elks, falling 24-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lions have suffered against the Elks since March 13, 2020.

Teague's defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Elkhart, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Teague Lions face off against China Spring Cougars at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elkhart, they will host Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Elkhart is facing Westwood at the right time seeing as Westwood is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
