Volleyball Recap: South Cobb Eagles vs. Campbell Spartans

South Cobb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Campbell Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Samira Washington paced South Cobb's offense, picking up seven kills. Washington got some help from Nicolette Sweat and her 11 assists. Finally, Washington was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Campbell was led to victory by Hannah Robin and Lillian Grigsby. Robin had three digs and three aces, while Grigsby had six digs. That's the most aces Robin has posted over her last 13 matchups. Caroline Hoffman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

South Cobb's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Campbell, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

Looking ahead, South Cobb will host Drew Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Campbell, they will challenge North Paulding at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
