Football Game Preview: Malden vs. Kelly

Kelly will challenge Malden on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Kelly have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Malden might have their hands full.

Kelly won against St. Vincent last Friday with 34 points, and Kelly decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Kelly blew past St. Vincent 34-13. Kelly were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Meanwhile, it was all tied up at the half for Malden and Portageville, but Malden stepped up in the second half. Malden got past Portageville with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 28-22. The success represented a nice turnaround for Malden, who in their last game suffered a tough 18-49 defeat.

Their wins bumped Malden to 1-2 and Kelly to 3-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Malden and Kelly clash.
