Volleyball Recap: Lebanon Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Gavin Pomeroy and Anthony Mccoy

If Lebanon was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of West Clermont last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Anderson Raptors by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lebanon sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 22-25, 25-23, 21-25, 15-5.

Despite the loss, Lebanon had strong showings from Anthony McCoy, who had 30 assists and nine digs, and Gavin Pomeroy, who had 18 assists and four digs. With that strong performance, McCoy is now averaging an impressive 13.1 assists per game.

Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Anderson, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Lebanon will be playing in front of their home fans against Loveland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anderson, they will face off against West Clermont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raptors are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
