Baseball Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

After flying high against Evangelical Christian on Thursday, Covington came back down to earth. The Chargers fell just short of the Marion Patriots by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Chargers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Marion, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

While Covington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
