Softball Recap: Klein Cain Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Klein Cain was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tomball Cougars. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Klein Cain saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brielee Weber, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Klein Cain's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Tomball, the win (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

The future could be bright for both Klein Cain and Tomball: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Hurricanes will look to extend Magnolia West's three-game losing streak when they meet at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tomball will try to hand Klein Forest their ninth-straight loss when the two meet at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
