Michael Miller Dazzles in Providence Christian Academy Win

Starting off the list is Providence Christian Academy's Michael Miller, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Miller rushed for 230 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 129 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.

Providence Christian Academy's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-8. Miller and Providence Christian Academy will take on Prince Avenue Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sadly, Lake Evans posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Rabun County over Fitzgerald on Friday. Evans rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

For the year, Evans has averaged 15.4 receiving yards per game.

Hickman Came Up Big in Elbert County's 28-13 Win

Elbert County found a leader in Jayvyn Hickman as the squad took down Gordon Lee on Friday. Gordon Lee had no answer to Hickman as he threw for 132 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown.

Elbert County pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Hickman and Elbert County are on the road again on Friday to play Heard County at 7:00 p.m.

Another Game with at Least Five Total Tackles from Lincoln Blackmon

On Friday, Elbert County got the W thanks in part to Lincoln Blackmon playing the best football he has all season. Blackmon wasn't messing around, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and making 15 total tackles. The contest was his 12th straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.

This season, Blackmon has averaged 10 total tackles per game and for the season has 2 sacks. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one sack.
