Football Recap: Florence Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Florence and The Classical Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Florence had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 56-14 loss at the hands of the Titans. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Florence lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ryan Robinson, who rushed for 69 yards and one TD on only five carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Florence didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of JJ Baker and Noah Howard.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead The Classical Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Schipfer, who rushed for 161 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Zach Mediavilla was another key pass catcher, picking up 154 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Florence is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5. As for The Classical Academy, their record is now 10-0.
