Geneva is 3-0 against York since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Geneva Vikings will square off against the York Dukes at 4:00 p.m. Geneva has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Geneva's tournament run continued when they took on Sandburg on Saturday. Geneva fell 62-55 to Sandburg. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Eagles are ranked 93rd).

Meanwhile, York suffered their biggest defeat since December 26, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Nazareth Academy, falling 56-34.

Geneva has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for York, their record is now 8-12.

Geneva was able to grind out a solid victory over York in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, winning 58-49. Will Geneva repeat their success, or does York have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
