Garfield never let their opponents score on Monday. They skirted past the Champion Golden Flashes 1-0. The one-run effort marked the G-Men's lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The victory made it two in a row for Garfield and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Champion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Garfield will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Flashes: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
