McCutcheon and Harrison are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2023, but likely not for long. The Mavericks will challenge the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

McCutcheon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Kokomo with a sharp 11-2 victory. Considering the Mavericks have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Harrison won against Frankfort on Tuesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Raiders came out on top against Lafayette Jefferson by a score of 6-1. The win was nothing new for the Raiders as they're now sitting on three straight.

Chase Gothrup spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaden Keys, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Braylen Hands was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for McCutcheon, their win bumped their record up to 17-9.

McCutcheon suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Harrison when the teams last played back in April. Can the Mavericks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
