Basketball Game Preview: Palestine Wildcats vs. Hudson Hornets

The Palestine Wildcats will square off against the Hudson Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palestine is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4 points per game this season.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Palestine turned things around against Rusk on Friday. They snuck past the Eagles with a 59-54 victory.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palestine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Edwards, who went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Edwards a new career-high in blocks. Another player making a difference was Chris Mitchell, who posted 15 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Hudson was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 51-50 to Bullard. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Palestine, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 13-13.

Things could have been worse for Palestine, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-37 loss to Hudson in their previous meeting on January 10th.
