Basketball Game Preview: Littleton Lions vs. Conifer Lobos

Littleton is 9-0 against Conifer since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Littleton Lions will look to defend their home court against the Conifer Lobos at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Littleton turned things around against Westminster on Friday. They walked away with a 53-46 win over the Wolves.

Emma Bird went supernova for Littleton, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Bird a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vicky Whitney, who posted ten points and seven boards.

While Conifer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Alameda by a score of 42-35 last Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lobos.

Littleton's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Conifer, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Littleton against Conifer in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 61-21 win. In that matchup, Littleton amassed a halftime lead of 56-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
