Basketball Recap: Westfield Victorious

On Thursday, the Westfield Blue Devils didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Neptune Scarlet Fliers, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory.

Despite the loss, Neptune still got an impressive performance from Christa Ramos, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 17 points and five assists. Ramos is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Lana Ellington, who posted 11 points.

Neptune's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Westfield will venture away from home to square off against Plainfield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neptune will take on Varsity Opponent in a holiday battle at at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday.
