League recap: Woodberry Forest tops Episcopal to extend winning streak

Adding to the longest winning streak in VISAA Virginia Prep this week, Woodberry Forest beat Episcopal 56-13. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Tigers.

Woodberry Forest took down the Maroon 56-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hunter Etheridge threw for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 21 yards in the win.

The Tigers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Harold Minor chipped in 95 yards. Nate Ingram helped Woodberry Forest's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 52 yards.

Christian Asher was the best receiver in the league this week as Woodberry Forest bested Episcopal. Asher racked up 3 receptions for 77 yards. Ingram helped Woodberry Forest's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 52 yards.

On the heels of Sam Allen and Rashon Torrence, Fork Union Military Academy has had great success on offense. Allen leads the league in passing with 731 yards, while Torrence has rushed for 1,025 yards this season. The Tigers' Asher leads the league in receiving yards with 394 on 25 catches.

Woodberry Forest led the league in scoring this week by notching 56 points on the Maroon. Etheridge ran for 21 yards during the win.
