Volleyball Game Preview: Loyola Cubs vs. Huntington Beach Oilers

The Loyola Cubs are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against the Huntington Beach Oilers at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Loyola will be strutting in after a win while Huntington Beach will be coming in after a loss.

Huntington Beach will be up against a hot Loyola squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 15. Loyola came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Redondo Union.

Loyola got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 30-32, 25-16, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Huntington Beach came up short against Mira Costa on Saturday and fell 2-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Oilers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.
