Wesleyan Christian Academy had won seven straight games and Cooper Cox did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Wesleyan Christian Academy Trojans strolled past the Providence Day Chargers with points to spare, taking the game 66-52 thanks in part to Cox, who posted 17 points. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Hannah Forester was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Despite the loss, Providence Day saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ginny Anne Dumont earned 22 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Ramsden, who went 5-for-8 en route to 12 points and three steals.

Wesleyan Christian Academy pushed their record up to 25-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for Providence Day, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-8.

Coming up, Wesleyan Christian Academy will challenge Cannon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Wesleyan Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Cannon likes a good challenge. Providence Day does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
