Football Recap: Skyview Comes Up Short

Skyview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Oregon City Pioneers, falling 33-7.

A big part of Oregon City's victory came down to the chemistry between Kaeden Emerson and his top target Cavan Rogers. Emerson threw for 214 yards and two TDs while Rogers picked up 175 receiving yards and one score.

Skyview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oregon City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Skyview will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Oregon City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 62-20 defeat against Lakeridge on the 3rd.
