Baseball Game Preview: Crestwood Red Devils vs. Mentor Cardinals

The Crestwood Red Devils will head out to face off against the Mentor Cardinals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Crestwood needed a bit of extra time to put away Rootstown. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rovers 4-3.

Crestwood saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael McCulloch, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Sam Pausch also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Mentor had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over Lorain on Thursday.

Crestwood's record now sits at 5-7. As for Mentor, their record is now 5-9.
