Football Recap: Valley Vikings vs. Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars
Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 28-14 fall against the Pinecrest Academy Cadence Cougars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 66-36 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence was led to victory by Kellon Trubey and Oliver Stimpson. Trubey threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns, while Stimpson picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will square off against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, they will take on Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinecrest Academy Cadence is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
