After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bellarmine College Prep, Valley Christian was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Junipero Serra Padres by a score of 3-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Warriors' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 640th, while the Padres are ranked 133rd).

Brandon Lan and Isaac Wong scored all three of Valley Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Valley Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Junipero Serra, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.

Valley Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Junipero Serra, they will face off against Everett Alvarez at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Everett Alvarez will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Junipero Serra surely won't give up without a fight.
