Basketball Game Preview: North Brunswick Scorpions vs. Ashley Screaming Eagle

The North Brunswick Scorpions just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Ashley Screaming Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

North Brunswick is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against New Hanover on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. North Brunswick was dealt an 82-38 defeat at the hands of New Hanover. The Scorpions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-18.

Meanwhile, Ashley didn't have quite enough to beat West Brunswick on Tuesday and fell 64-61. The Screaming Eagle have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ashley's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for North Brunswick, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

North Brunswick beat Ashley 67-57 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Does North Brunswick have another victory up their sleeve, or will Ashley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
