Baseball Recap: Southern Academy Comes Up Short

Southern Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clarke Prep Gators. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Gators this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-1 loss on Tuesday.

Southern Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Thorn, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Southern Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Clarke Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

As of now, neither Southern Academy nor the Gators have any future games scheduled.
